Christmas Traditions
Some of the traditions my family has are we get to open some of our presents on Christmas Eve and the rest we have to open on Christmas Day. We usually open up the small presents first and save the biggest for last. Another one of our traditions is we do Secret Santa. We draw names and we have to buy at least 2 things for that person. We do Secret Santa, because our parents think it is good for us to use our own money to buy things for our relatives other than ourselves. One tradition we have been doing for a while is we always go to this place called "The North Pole of Texas" and we ride a train all around and we buy hot cocoa before getting on. The place is in Como Pickton and we always take pictures of all the decorations they have and we also get to go in " Santa's Workshop" and they sometimes give us a bag of candies or candy canes. That's my favorite tradition, because it's always fun to ride around and we get to spend a fun time together. We also go to my aunt's house and we eat and watch some Christmas movies and play with our presents. That is always fun, because it's fun to go to Dallas and hang out with family that we don't see every day. The last tradition we have is we put our Christmas Tree up on the 2nd Saturday of December every year. We also always get an artificial tree, but this year we decided to put up a real tree so I guess that's going to be a new tradition from now on.
